On the afternoon of September 7, the China Geological Survey Bureau of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Nanjing. Zhong Ziran, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Natural Resources and director of the China Geological Survey, and Chu Yonghong, vice governor of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, witnessed the signing of the two parties and held exchanges and discussions on deepening cooperation.
The two sides believe that the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement is an important measure to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech when he visited Jiangsu Province, and to shoulder the major mission of “striving to be an example, a demonstration, and a leader”. According to the agreement, the two parties will focus on the economic and social development needs of Jiangsu Province, and focus on the development and utilization of new clean energy such as dry and hot rocks, carbon dioxide sequestration and industrialization of geological energy storage, urban geological safety risk investigation and evaluation, research on land and space planning, and ecological protection and restoration. Carry out in-depth cooperation, give full play to the basic and leading role of geological work, and provide more powerful geological support for the construction of a “strong, rich, beautiful and high” new Jiangsu.
Niu Zhijun, member of the party group and deputy director of the China Geological Survey Bureau, and Wu Yonghong, deputy secretary-general of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. Relevant leaders of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Geological Survey Research Institute, and the main responsible comrades of relevant departments and directly affiliated units of the Bureau participated in the exchange and discussion.
